Description

An Orisha is a spirit that reflects the manifestations of God in the Africa’s Yoruba religion,  Many Orisha have found their way throughout the Americas via the Atlantic slave trade and are now expressed on practices as varied as Santeria, Candomble, Tinidad and Oyolunji.

Ellugua is a popular Orisha of the Yoruba people. He is a trickster that holds the power over luck and misfortune. He uses this power to afflict people with temptation and difficulties in order for them to mature. He is also the god of the roads and the protector of travelers. He is identified with Saint Anthony of Padua and Saint Michael.
